Polish Language History
Polish emerged in the 10th century around the establishment of the Polish state and adopted the Latin alphabet. This alphabet is used by about half of all Slavic languages, with the other half using the Cyrillic alphabet. Today, Polish is one of the most widely spoken languages in Europe. There are large minorities of Poles in several countries. including Lithuania and Belarus and 97% of Poland’s citizens speak Polish as their first language, making Poland the most linguistically homogeneous country in Europe.
Polish in the UK
The prevelance of Polish in the United Kingdom makes it an important language for reaching local communities. In England and Wales 1.6% of the population either cannot speak English or cannot speak it well. This means that translations into locally relavant languages can open the door to engagement with new audiences and promote inclusivity.

On top of this, each of our legal translators has a specialist focus in law, having worked in or completed training specific to the legal sector. We ensure that all of our legal translators are up to date with the current terminology both in the UK and in their native language to guarantee a quality translation with no mistakes.
Polish Technical Document Translation
We can provide Polish translations for technical or scientific documents. This includes journal literature, operation manuals, safety instructions, patents and technical drawings. Our face to face Polish interpreters work to facilitate communication between individuals who speak Polish and those who speak English, in order to provide them with equal access to all of the services they might need. We recommend face to face interpreting where a conversation is necessary, including complex and sensitive situations where information is best delivered in person.
Remote Polish Interpreters
