Face to Face Interpreting
Written documents and printed publications can help you to communicate effectively, but nothing builds relationships or conveys emotional engagement quite like the personal touch.
Our face-to-face interpreting service is tailored for those situations where you need an instant translation of what’s being said, for instance in a business meeting, a court of law, or an academic conference. We can provide skilled interpreters with in depth knowledge of your sector or business, and we ensure that every interpreter we commission works to the highest standards.
You’ll find that interpreting is either “Consecutive” or “Simultaneous”, and it is important that you identify the most appropriate service for your needs.
- A consecutive interpreter will listen to a speaker and will interpret at the end of each sentence. This is the most commonly used service, and is quicker to set up than simultaneous interpreting.
- A simultaneous interpreter is more appropriate for larger meetings and conferences. Typically, simultaneous interpreting is delivered by at least two interpreters, who work in discreet booths and interpret what is being said through headsets.
A word about legal interpreters
Our strong links within the legal community means that we are often asked to provide consecutive interpreting for law courts, hearings, and tribunals. We have a reputation for reliability, discretion and accuracy, and for ensuring that our interpreters have experience of the legal environment. You will also be reassured to know that our legal interpreters have been vetted by the Criminal Records Bureau.
